Two roles, one project

A Product Manager / Product Owner / Marketing Manager identifies the need for research based on product strategy or market trends, and communicates the goal and expected outcomes. A Market/UX/CX/Business Analyst asks clarifying questions, designs the methodology, conducts the research, and shares interim and final findings with recommendations.

  • PM: identifies the need → communicates goal & outcomes → discusses & agrees on methodology and timeline → provides resources and support → reviews interim findings → receives the final report
  • Researcher: asks clarifying questions → designs methodology and plans the project → conducts the research → shares interim (pilot) findings, incorporates feedback → prepares and delivers the final report with actionable recommendations
